JOURNALISTS NAME BEST VEHICLES IN ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

The Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAAMA) selected the best of show at the 35th annual Atlanta International Auto Show, produced by the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association (MAADA), and took place at the Georgia World Congress Center through Sunday, March 26.

“The Atlanta Auto Show is the biggest and best one yet,” said Christopher Lawrence, president of GAMMA and president of AutoAcademics.net, an automotive consultancy that aims to assist consumers in making intelligent, unbiased, and logical automotive choices. “The judges cover the auto industry for a variety of outlets including newspapers,

magazines and websites and looked at the cars for performance, value, new technology and overall experience. With increasing competition each year, it’s a challenge to identify the best cars at the show.”

The Kia Stinger won the Judges’ Choice Award because of its progressive design, luxurious amenities, and performance-based componentry. The fastback sports sedan that will be available in rear- or all-wheel drive, and is due to hit showrooms as a 2018 model later this year.

In addition to the Judges’ Choice, the following vehicles were also cited by the judges as being best in their category:

• Best Bang: 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF

• Green: 2017 Chevrolet Bolt

• Luxury: 2018 Lexus LS 500

• Performance: 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster

• SUV/Crossover: 2018 Volkswagen Atlas

• Truck: 2017 Ford Raptor
