The Dragon Drive

Dear Members:

We are excited to announce that SERAMA is hosting a special event — the Dragon Drive. The drive will take place Nov. 13-15 at the Tail of the Dragon on the North Carolina/Tennessee border. Considered one of the best driving destinations, the Tail is an 11-mile stretch, complete with 318 curves, that will challenge the drivers as well as the vehicles. Some of the Dragon’s sharpest curves have names like Copperhead Corner, Hog Pen Bend, Wheelie Hell, Shade Tree Corner, Mud Corner, Sunset Corner, Gravity Cavity, Beginner’s End, and Brake or Bust Bend.

Check in will be Sunday night with driving taking place all day Monday. There will be limited opportunities on Tuesday morning for photos and interviews for those who decide to stay an extra night.

There will be two routes. One is more for sports cars while the second is more sedate and perfect for cars, SUVs and trucks.

We are having a very enthusiastic response from the OEMs and may have to limit member participation.

Therefore, members have to apply to participate and must meet or agree to the following:

  • Be a paid-up member of SERAMA
  • Be willing to pay for accommodations and other expenses
  • List the expected coverage, including the number of social media posts, print and electronic media coverage with audience reach.
  • Indicate willingness to participate by sending an email to [email protected]

We know this will be a fantastic signature event and we welcome your interest and participation.

Thank you,
The SERAMA Board
