Full Media Designation:

A full-media designation belongs to those who work for independent companies and are paid for their work. It can be full-time or freelance. To qualify they must:

  • Submit at least three full stories each year about the automotive industry (or) Produce at least three electronic stories
  • Work for a major publication (AJC, Bloomberg, Atlanta Business Chronicle) where they cover breaking automotive stories but not as a full-time beat, necessarily.
  • Work in production of three stories per year. Be responsible and actively involved in assigning, editing and writing stories on the automotive industry.
  • Host or produce a regularly scheduled program on radio, television, or online/multimedia with a minimum of 20,000 listeners/viewers.
  • Produce at least three stories that is written for an advertiser or vendor.

NOTES:

  • Each of these works should have published dates within six months of each other, which would give someone new to the position to produce something to show the board.
  • An article, image, video, broadcast, blog entry, website contribution, or mobile app must be editorial content that shows, describes, evaluates, discusses and/or facilitates an understanding of the auto industry that is not paid for by the subject matter.
  • An article must have a minimum of 250 words. For broadcast and digital outlets, the story must be a minimum of 60 seconds.
